Job description: We’ re looking for a Vice-Principal in the secondary education industry.
Our client is going through an exciting growth and expansion phase for their innovative international school in Toronto. They provide high quality education and support to maximize each graduate’ s potential in obtaining acceptance into top universities worldwide.
There is a planned succession during the first year into the Principal position due to retirement however their ideal candidate will also bring a sales background to this position so that you can explore international education through global partnerships.
Vice-Principal responsibilities:
Providing continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency of the school in accordance with the vision, mission, and values
Develop and execute a sales and marketing strategy to bring new countries to the school
Remain up to date of current standards and processes related to school programs, educating, and administration by participating in meeting and professional development conferences
Devote time to the supervision of the school, observing methods of instruction and endeavouring to improve the efficiency of the staff and the school in general
Report directly to Director of School Board
Organize and promote the development of programs within the school to meet the demands of the students
Support the teaching staff in the creation, execution, and modification of curriculum
Opportunity to develop and implement innovative means of high-quality instruction of school
Ensure the standards of Ministry of Education have been meet in all aspects
Communicate and empower all staff to upkeep high standards
Confirm that performance evaluations are finalized in accordance with the annual report
Manage the communication with parents and guardians in respect to the school program, student rewards, placement, and behaviour
Develop a strategy to encourage participation in the school affiliation, such as CAIs, and maintain excellent standards and cooperation’ s with other schools
Manage ongoing sales development of international programs
Oversee teacher training for international partnered schools
Encourage academic and professional development of staff through meetings, available training, and personal contact
The successful candidate has:
10+ years of management and leadership experience
Proven track record in developing, managing, and executing new and long-term marketing initiatives
Experience in developing strategic objectives and ensuring the objectives are measurable
Excellent leadership and administrative skills
A self starter with the ability to think strategically and adjust to circumstances
Previous experience in the education related fields
Demonstrate an open mindset & ability to create a family atmosphere
Compensation and benefits:
The salary range is $90, 000 – $100, 000 depending on experience
Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
