Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Test Analyst, you will join CIBC’s Technology team where you will be working with BAs, developers, fellow testers and business partners to develop testing plans for system and software changes across various platforms. You will execute the plans and write reports to summarize testing results with proper recommendations.

You will join EWM (Enterprise Wires Modernization) QA team, working closely with the test lead to support this multi-year program.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Execute Testing Activities: Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate end to end testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources
  • Report & Monitor: Report and manage software concerns and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Provide status of testing, document and communicate issues, implement QA standards and policies.
  • Relationship Building: Respond to client’s inquires and requests, providing professional high quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liase and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio technology to support objectives or address issues

Who You Are

  • You’re digitally savvy, passionate about technology, consistently seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
  • You can demonstrate strong skills in software development testing through 3 years of experience, preferably within a financial institution. You are able to successfully translate business processes, systems functionality and requirements into well written test plans. It is an advantage if you have experience within an Agile environment.
  • You have strong knowledge of using SQL and Oracle database, test scripting, JEE architecture, multiple IT platforms. Experience and knowledge with SWIFT messages, MQ, and XML are definitely an asset.
  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You’re confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
