What you will do:

  • Ensure safety and housekeeping standards and maintenance procedures are followed, identifying opportunities for improvement and updating these accordingly
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment in a process plant environment, including single and multi-stage pumps, steam turbines, compressors, rotary drums, and conveying systems
  • Work may include lubrication tasks, vibration analysis, hoisting and rigging, and laser alignments
  • Provide technical support and take on assignments to support the overall reliability of site systems and assets during regular and outage maintenance timeframes
  • Manage and lead contractor crews in the safe execution of equipment overhauls and plant outages
  • Troubleshoot process, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, and architectural drawings
  • Maintain equipment history and documentation while identifying opportunities for improvement

What you will bring:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Millwright Journeyperson or Interprovincial designation required
  • Machinist Journeyperson or Interprovincial designation an asset
  • 5 years or more experience working in an industrial setting an asset
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and team-work skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering quality work
  • Ability and willingness to lead small groups to execute work effectively
  • Working knowledge of SAP, planning and scheduling principles an asset
  • Working knowledge of vibration and lubrication principles an asset
  • Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule after 1 year experience
