Job title: Tier 2 IT Support Technician for Natural Resource Site
Job description: Our client in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. is hiring an Intermediate IT Support Technician who has minimum of three years experience to work on site at one of their mining locations. This is an exciting growth opportunity.
Must Have:
- 3 years previous experience in Systems Administration, Security or Network Admin.
- Understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly to support Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Powerpoint
- Strong technical skills and demonstrated aptitude with regards to IT troubleshooting processes
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, MCSE or wireless certifications
- Experience and knowledge with routing technology, like VLAN’s, port channels and trunking.
- Willing to relocate to Tumbler Ridge, BC
Nice to Have:
- A+, MS, Oracle, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation would be advantageous.
