Job title: Operations & Compliance Analyst
Job description: Our client is a growing investment company, looking for a detailed and organized Operations and Compliance Analyst to join their team in providing exceptional solutions to their clients. Acting as a key team member, you are a collaborative professional with dedication, drive and a desire to support and further the goals of the organization. With a strong background in finance or accounting, you easily understand business requirements and demonstrate excellent follow-up on operational, compliance and client account-related tasks.
Location: Whistler, BC
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week
Responsibilities:
- Assist with client on-boarding
- Maintain active communication with and request information from clients in order to open new accounts and maintain up-to-date client database
- Review and optimize operational and compliance procedures and workflows
- Prepare and file monthly compliance reports
- Prepare quarterly client account reports and invoices
- Oversee bookkeeping, invoicing and bill payments
- Manage an annual audit
- Maintain up to date knowledge of market activity
- Assist with other ad hoc operational or compliance-related tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar professional setting; background in finance or accounting is highly desirable
- CPA, CA designation or CCO designation (or working towards) is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is essential
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
