Role

If so, a Data Entry position may be an ideal seasonal position for you.
Data Entry staff are based in the Wildfire Management Area offices. The Data Entry position is a support role in administration. The primary function of this position is the accurate, consistent, and timely entry of information into various Wildfire databases.
Other Responsibilities
– Review, correct and enter seasonal and permanent time sheets
– Assist with administration & timesheet entry of Firetack Crews
– Assist Admin and Finance Staff
– Compile and send wage time reports
– Ensure supervisors are aware of any problems/issues
– Front desk reception as required, answering telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
– Photocopying and filing where necessary
– Attend and complete necessary training courses
– Provide administration support to the Management Area office when required
– Must be available for possible export (Travel outside of home area)
– Shift work (Evenings and weekends) may be required
Qualifications
The minimum requirement for this role is a high school diploma plus one (1) year of related experience. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. Experience with MS Office Suite, keyboarding and computer skills, and strong organizational skills are required.
Previous experience with Forestry Division is an asset. Completion of a fitness test may be a requirement of this position.

– Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR
– Valid Class 5 Drivers License
– Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
– Current Driver’s Abstract, showing a record of seven (7) demerits or less, must be obtained. Your Driver’s Abstract is required to be obtained within 30 days prior to your commencement date and must be presented to management prior to your commencement for the above-stated position.

Notes
This is a seasonal wages position with weekly hours up to 36.25. Those selected for an interview are requested to bring three work-related references.
What We Offer
Wage employees receive 11.2% in addition to regular wage earnings in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:
– 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
– 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead
