Job description: OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
Performs non-routine, moderately complex accounting functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Responsible for all payments of goods and services necessary for the basic operation of the company.
- Process vendor invoices into computer system.
- Processes check requests and tax payments ensuring all appropriate approvals have been met to ensure
accuracy of accounts charged.
- Process expense reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain spreadsheets for capital expenditures.
- Reconcile bank statements by updating system with checks that have cleared.
- Set up new vendor accounts.
- Report daily cash balance sheet to CFO and Controller.
- Collect customer accounts on a regular basis
- Process cash receipts
- Assist in preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations as needed.
- Must establish and maintain effective work relationships with new and existing customers through a
high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal/communication.
- Maintain professional demeanor on phone.
- Partners with key internal customers (i.e. operations) to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and
analysis.
- Technical skills in account reconciliation; cost analysis and month-end close responsibilities, etc.
- Planning and organization; an ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
- Strong customer orientation and responsiveness.
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts relative to inventories/accounts payable and maintain
standard cost supplemental schedules.
- Support monthly close process.
- Process payroll
- Maintain employee payroll files
- Assist with Capital Assets Schedule
- Assist with Capital Lease Schedule
- Assist with Year End close
- Assist with Year End Financial Audit Review

- Preferred – Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Related Field
- Preferred – Working towards Canadian CPA designation
- Preferred – 1 to 3 years experience in Accounting
- Preferred – 1 to 2 years experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
- Required – Read, Write, Speak and Comprehend English
- Required – Experience using MS Office Products, ERP Systems, EPICOR
