Our client located at Square Victoria metro station is looking for an Accounting Assistant to assist the Executive Director to support the organization’s philanthropic activities.
Main tasks:
– Provide daily administrative support (process emails, phone, filing documents…)
– Provide administrative support for accounting (donation deposits, follow-up of the payment of invoices, issuance of checks, production of reports, support during the audit…)
– Manage the ProDon database (data entry, import of donations, issuance of receipts and production of reports)
– Manage the material resources of the office (computer equipment, office supplies…)
– Support the team in the context of the Foundation’s events and fundraising activities
– Act as a donor liaison
– Support the general management
Qualifications:
– Excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written)
– College-level diploma or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
– One year of professional experience in a similar position
– Good organizational skills that reflect the ability to execute and to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
– Good computer skills and ability to learn new software
– Excellent knowledge of Office 365, especially Excel
– Good knowledge of ProDon
– Good knowledge of Sage, an asset
– Good knowledge of Mailchimp, an asset
– Good knowledge of WordPress, an asset
– Knowledge of accounting, an asset
Skills:
– Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
– Good writing skills
– Politeness, discretion and a high level of professionalism
– Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
– Flexibility, ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize ongoing projects
Conditions of the position:
– Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week, 7 hours/day (ideally: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
– Entry into office: immediately
– May be required to work evenings or weekends depending on events
– Office located in Old Montreal
– Salary to be discussed according to experience: 40-50K
