Job description: Kootenay Markets Ltd. Has a Full-Time accounting position available in Cranbrook, BC.

This is a salaried position based on qualifications.

The successful candidate should have 4 years of experience in an accounting environment.

The successful applicant will have the following skill sets and attributes:

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word);

– Attention to detail;

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

– Ability to operate with a high level of integrity and confidentiality;

– Account/payroll experience in a retail grocery environment would be an asset; and,

– Accounting designation is an asset but not required.

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Maintain and update General Ledger using Adagio Accounting Software;

– Bank Reconciliations;

– Supervise Accounts Payable using Adagio;

– Supervise Accounts Receivable using Retail Software;

– Maintain and update payroll in the ADP Payroll System and administer all payroll related matters; and

– Lease administration and bookkeeping for affiliated real estate companies.
