Position Overview:

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Finance TH, the LDP/Analyst will play a crucial role in expense management for Tim Horton’s technology group, provide financial administration for various capex projects and assist in all financial routines including month end closing and reporting processes. The candidate should be a hands-on team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. They must have the ability to understand finance & accounting concepts and be able to convey information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Responsibilities:

Reporting:

• Assist in managing the Tech Finance P&L by preparing monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range budgets/forecasts
• Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to budgets/forecasts and prior year results, for internal reporting purposes

Invoice Processing:

• Collaborate with IT/Capex expense owners to create and manage purchase orders in SAP/Coupa
• Reconcile existing purchase orders with the internal Global Business Partners team by working with vendors to clear any outstanding accounts/invoices
• Process invoices for payment within contractual payment terms
• Communicate organized and accurate payment and purchase order statuses to internal teams

Projects:

• Assist in tracking and managing budgets for major capex projects
• Prepare analysis to inform the vendor selection process and contract negotiations

Financial Analysis:

• Provide ad hoc support and financial modeling for specific Tech/Capex related projects, producing actionable insights

Requirements

• 1+ year of finance or accounting experience
• High degree of comfort with financial software/applications such as Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems; SAP, Hyperion and OneStream
• Demonstrated organization skills in order to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work with others
• Self-starter, energetic with a strong sense of initiative
• Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting an asset
