You will be responsible for monthly financial support, stewardship, and planning for the Business and Operations Services function with a focus on transformation portfolios, or the dynamic Supply Chain & Projects organizations

You will use your expertise to:

  • Effectively communicate financial performance, strategies and drivers to leadership and finance stakeholders
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis and clearly communicate findings
  • Prepare monthly accruals and performance management reports
  • Coordinate and deliver monthly forecasts, budget and business planning deliverables presented to senior leaders
  • Provide input on continuous improvements in performance reporting, planning processes and deliverables
  • Gather and interpret data from different sources, identify and analyze operational trends, and develop strategies to address issues, concerns, and/or underperformance

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Six years of relevant financial and analytical experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or economics, or other relevant education
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Suite
  • Proven analytical skills combined with a high level of intellectual curiosity to communicate complex information into validated insights and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to influence, persuade and facilitate change and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Alignment with our

Preference for:

  • A financial designation (CPA, CFA, or CA)
  • Experience with integrated Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
