Responsibilities

Position Description Summary

The Business Analyst plays a key role in implementing strategic initiatives in an on-going change program. The BA works with internal stakeholder groups to analyze processes and suggest improvements, conduct analysis and develop metrics. The BA will be required to lead various projects from initial requirement gathering through to final execution. The BA plays a key role on the Operational Accounting implementation team.

Principal Accountabilities

• Work with various stakeholder groups (internal and external) to clarify business requirements, document processes and standard operating procedures.

• Define process metrics and measures; conduct research and analysis to establish baselines and on-going reporting

• Interface with IT team to ensure business requirements are translated into technology requirements and that the technology supports the process.

• Develop test plans and training documentation to support technology implementation.

• Lead test efforts and interface with user groups to ensure uptake of technology and provide feedback to IT groups.

• Define and maintain Project Plans in the planning and implementation of change initiatives

• Work to standardize processes and templates as needed.

• Support the roll out of new processes and procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and research capabilities

• Proactive, positive, enthusiastic and self-driven

• Strong business acumen, attention to details and strong organizational skills

• Understanding of Supply Chain Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word

• Experience with Sequel (SQL) and Database Structures

• Strong oral, written and presentation skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Experienced in analyzing and documenting diverse business processes and work flows.

• Experienced in delivering well-organized and effective presentations and training.

• Quality management or project management is considered an asset

• 2-4 years of related experience as a Business Analyst. …
