SCOPE
Are you looking to join a multiple national award-winning employer that offers tremendous potential for career growth? Our Finance team is now accepting applications for Finance/Accounts Payable Clerks to supplement our data entry and processing staff. The Finance/Accounts Payable Clerk performs clerical work including data entry, filing and repetitive tasks of limited complexity.
Work would include processing a variety of accounts payable or other finance transactions for the City, answering inquiries over the phone, investigating questions and concerns, conducting data entry, processing documents, and performing various office duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- You are able to provide excellent client service and will respond to internal staff and external parties (such as suppliers) while working in a high transactional volume environment.
- Your excellent communication skills will be put to good use as you educate the users on policies and procedures related to Finance/Accounts Payable services, both in person and on the phone.
- You are good with numbers and have a high level of data entry accuracy and attention to detail. These will be invaluable as you process financial transactions, such as accounts payable invoices.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications and other financial systems software.
- As a point of contact for internal staff and suppliers you will use your interpersonal skills in providing positive, accurate and informative communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
A qualified applicant will have:
- Candidates under consideration will have a minimally completed Grade 12 supplemented with courses in business accounting, computer courses, and/or office administrative practices.
- Have a minimum 1 years’ experience in an office environment.
- Accurate typing speed of 45WPM.
- Experience working in a finance/accounts payable, high-volume environment is an asset.
