Make an impact with our Farm Management Consulting team as a Consultant. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of consulting engagements focused on agriculture, agribusiness and other related industry bodies and associations.
- Execute business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program re-designs, financial analysis and other forms of management consulting.
- Provide industry specific expertise related to factors affection production, alternative agricultural options, livestock and crop disease control, soil improvement, animal husbandry and feeding programs, procedures to cope with the effects of fires, floods, and droughts.
- Develop, or assist with the development of project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
- Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
- Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop.
- Support the design and develop high-quality deliverables including proposals, engagement letters, reports, presentations and other correspondence
- Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
- Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
- Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
- Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture or other related field
- Experience working in an agriculture environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of farm enterprises, primary producer and/or agri-business is preferred
- Experience working in a consulting and/or professional services environment is considered an asset
- Experience or training in project management is considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
