Overview
Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We have a 12-month term opportunity Finance Systems & Data Analyst to join our Finance team based out of one of our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Montreal, QC; or Mississauga, ON.
Job Description
The Finance Systems & Data Analyst drives value for Sobeys by enabling core financial business processes and maintaining the integrity of Sobeys’ financial data and supporting systems.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and administer the process of master data creation and maintenance in a timely manner to ensure a high level of data integrity.
- Provide guidance to business partners to ensure complete and appropriate information is captured for all business requests.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance to established data standards, guidelines and processes.
- Coordinates across business functions to ensure critical backstage activities are completed in support of the opening of new store locations.
- Assists in the integration of new business processes, systems and tools as part of Finance’s ongoing transformation initiative.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where colleagues in your department are encouraged and recognized for generating and implementing innovative ideas.
Job Requirements
Your resume and experience will show:
- Excellent organizational and planning skills;
- Client-oriented, you have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills;
- You are autonomous, very organized and you have a keen sense of initiative;
- Experience in documenting business processes;
- Excellent ability to analyze and identify continues improvement opportunities;
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
- Ability to work within tight deadlines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice to have Assets:
- Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset.
- Finance/IT experience in the grocery retail sector preferred
- Knowledge of SAP, Excel advanced development
