The Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) is looking for a skilled Department Assistant to help the association’s HR and Finance departments meet their goals for 2022. There will be a lot of HR-related tasks to deal with including working with the HRIS platform and responding to internal and external queries. DDA has a lot to offer. JOB TITLE: DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT, HR and Finance |#1472
SERVICE AREA: Administration
LOCATION: Richmond
START DATE: January 17, 2022
TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm // 37.5 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $22.42 as per collective agreement

THE ROLE:

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources, Payroll, and Finance departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary diploma.
  • Recent office experience working with Word, Excel and variety of computer software and able to type accurately at a minimum of 60 w.p.m.
  • 2 years of administrative experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.
  • Ability to respond/communicate with public and staff in a positive, professional and courteous mature manner.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidence.
  • Experience with non-profit sector and mid-sized organization in a unionized environment.

Standard requirements include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Eligible to work in Canada
