Job description: Our Toronto client is a market-leading dynamic organization in the Private Equity/Asset Management space. They have been growing significantly, and looking for a strong Director of Finance to play a key role on the Finance team, and drive change as they scale for anticipated growth.

We are seeking a high energy accounting leader with a passion for leadership of a growing team, technology, operational accounting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be the company’s lead in our core accounting functions by embedding technology into creating robust accounting processes, and growing our team capabilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The Director will be responsible for and oversee a current team of 5 professionals in the financial reporting and general accounting group. The successful candidate will be highly insightful, respectful of deadlines, detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and a demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple workflows and deadlines.

The role will report to the CFO who will challenge the candidate to take on increasing levels of responsibility, innovate continuously, and develop their leadership abilities. As part of the finance management team, the candidate will have a peer group to collaborate with and be challenged by on a regular basis as they work as a team to enable the company’s growth strategy.

Job Requirements:

• CPA or other financial designation is a strong asset
• 10+ years experience in accounting, financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel
• Real Estate/Asset Management /Private Equity is an asset
