Our Vaughan client is a large diversified real estate group (and Family office) with a mixed portfolio of holdings in Ontario. The team has recently grown, and is looking to hire a dynamic Director of Finance who they will groom for a CFO role, as they continue to build a first class Finance team. If you have experience in the real estate, home building sector, or family office setting, this is a fantastic “next move “.

Duties and responsibilities of the Director of Finance is as follows:

• Accounting and admin for the family office investments and holding companies including working with the CFO in maintaining records, cash flows and monthly investment reporting.
• Take an active part in preparing the yearly budget for family office investments with the CFO.
• Researching and analyzing existing and potential investment actions, preparation of reports and recommendations for review by Investment Management Team.
• Attend Investment Management Team meetings and present analysis and substantiated recommendations.
• Coordinate and manage transactions of investment companies.
• Working with the CFO on corporate and project entities and reporting.
• Working with the CFO on legal issues such as set up corporate and project entities.

Job Requirements:

• CPA or other financial designation is a strong asset.
• 10+ years experience in commercial real estate/homebuilding/family office.
