Job title: Executive Director – OpenRoad Foundation
Job description: The OpenRoad Foundation is the grant giving and community impact arm of OpenRoad Auto Group. Founded in Richmond, BC, OpenRoad represents 21 automotive brands at 34 locations across Canada and Northwest USA. For over 20 years we’ve made charitable grants to various community and nonprofit organizations. In 2022, we will step up the impact as we formally launch the OpenRoad Foundation. To meet our Foundation vision and deliver sustained positive impact in our communities, we are seeking an Executive Director to lead the Foundation.
The Executive Director is a part-time position, 20 hours a week, responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic implementation of the Foundation mission. You will work with the Foundation board and Foundation committee to develop a multi-year strategic plan and own the execution of that plan. This role will be based in the Greater Vancouver area.
Key functional areas include:
- Governance, board administration and support
- Financial and legal
- Fund development
- Grantmaking
- Marketing, public relations & communications
- Strategic planning, vision development and partnerships
- Management and administration
The percentage of time allocated to each of these functions will vary as the OpenRoad Foundation matures. The Executive Director will be professionally supported by the Foundation Directors, OpenRoad Auto Group Foundation committee and OpenRoad Auto Group Shared Services team that includes Finance, IT and Marketing.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business or Public Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience or familiarity with the responsibilities, concept and purposes of foundations
- Knowledge of community resources
- Experience working with Boards and/or committees.
