On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Finance Analyst.

Finance Analyst – Job Description

• To conduct a range of financial analysis, reconciliation and accounting functions for the Securities Inc. Legal Entity
• The primary responsibility of this desk will be to complete a daily reconciliation of US dollar FX exposure
• Responsible for the accounting of other foreign currency deals (GBP, SEK, etc.), including funding request, interest tracking, settlement and accounting journals
• Act as backup for the funding desk
• This requires determining daily funding requirements by calculating the funds available to be loaned out or needed to be borrowed from Bank
• Accounting for the Mergers and Acquisitions business
• Accounting for Government new issues

Finance Analyst – Mandatory Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., advanced formulae, vlookup and pivot table) is a must
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income products, derivatives)
• Detail-oriented with proven analytical capability
• Clearly demonstrated problem solving skills
• Highly self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work efficiently with our business partners
• Highly organized with strong time management skills
• Able to manage multiple deadlines within a highly demanding environment
• Ability to effectively handle and respond to various ad hoc requests
• Excellent team player
• University education is required

Finance Analyst – Nice to Have Skills

• Degree in finance or accounting preferred
