You will be responsible for providing analytical insight for daily, weekly, and monthly operational decision making. This includes month end variance analysis comparable to forecast/budget. You will also be responsible for a detailed bottom-up approach forecast and budgeting. Responsible for financial operational transactional team (time entry, LEM management, billing, project set up).
This is a full-time permanent position based in Calgary or Sherwood Park. You will require a CGA or CPA.
What would you be doing?
- Trace actual indirect cost and compared to budget, trace significant differences in billability of indirect positions.
Review and post month end journal entries.
Responsible for managing timely distribution of reporting created within FP&A (Financial Planning Analysis).
Support the development of new reporting, collaboration with internal IT and external sources for report development.
Ability to review financial information, excellent understanding of accruals and accounting knowledge.
Does this sound like you?
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Project Accounting or similar role.
Experience in the Oil Gas industry preferred.
Previous experience with forecasting and project profitability analysis.
Experience with customer audits.
Excellent understanding of client contract, payment terms, special arrangements, customer audit.
