The responsibilities for the Finance Manager job opening in Toronto, ON., may include but are not limited to: * Managing daily accounting processes for all functions including accounts payable, accounts receivables, bank reconciliation, profit and loss statements, revenue and expenses, donations and more
- Responsible for completing journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Preparing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Reviewing numbers and preparing annual budgets
- Monitor fixed assets,
- Lead the year end audits
- Communicate with and present to the International Executive Team, the Board and Donor Partners any/all financial related reports and updates for Canada
- Compiling donation records, processing annual returns and calculating taxes
- Mentor, coach and delegate to a part-time, junior accountant
- Other duties as needed.
The qualifications for the Finance Manager job opening in Toronto, ON include: * At least 5 years of related full cycle Accounting experience including general accounting and advanced functions; non-profit/charitable industry experience a strong asset
- CPA designation or close to completion
- Strong knowledge on key Accounting terminology and principles; including GAAP and charity/ donation experience
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient knowledge in Accounting software; FinancialForce knowledge an asset
- High level communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Flexible working overtime and liaising with external department overseas
