ABOUT OUR CLIENT
With 3 offices spanning over the lower Fraser Valley area, our client is committed to providing all-round medical imaging services ranging from ultrasonography, mammography and radiography. Owned and operated by local Radiologists for over 60 years, our client strives to continuously provide their patients with top-notch and efficient care.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Collaborating with a tight-knit team including the Chairman and Finance Committee, you will be the driving force behind the company’s bookkeeping functions. Even as a part-time employee, our client guarantees support in your professional development, with a potential to eventually become full-time.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This part-time position will be primarily remote with occasional travel to their Abbotsford office expected.

The main responsibilities include:

• Plans and implements financial operating systems including accounts receivable and payable, cash management, payroll, partner draws etc.
• Preparing quarterly and annual government reporting including T4s, GST, PST, corporate taxes etc.
• Debt collection
• Networking with fee payers’ accounting departments
• Preparing monthly and annual financial reports/statements for review
• Developing accounting practices that document revenues and expenses
• Liaise with corporate accountants and lawyers to oversee the preparation of share/ownership transfers

THE REQUIREMENTS

• A degree/certificate in accounting/bookkeeping with at least 2 years of experience in accounting/financial administration tasks
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Simply Accounting
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information
• High level of independent judgment, reasoning and discretion

COMPENSATION

• $20-25/hour
• Up to a maximum of 5% in RRSP Matching
• Reimbursement for employee-related education costs
