Department Overview:
Fixed Assets is part of the Finance Operations (FinOps) Center, located in Moncton, New Brunswick. FinOps is an integral part of TD Finance, delivering finance services with a commitment to operational excellence.

FinOps is an integral and trusted partner to segments across the Bank. It is made-up of diverse teams, strengths and capabilities contributing to TD’s overall success. Together, FinOps helps the Bank make smart business decisions, ensure regulatory compliance and financial reporting accuracy.

Job Requirements

Specific Educational Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Enrolment in an accounting designation (CPA).

Job Description

Key Accountabilities
Be a key member of a high performing team of finance professionals responsible to perform general accounting and finance reporting functions, which may include:

  • Detail knowledge of financial accounting processes and internal controls
  • Reconcile the sub-ledger accounting entries to general ledger.
  • Understand and be able to explain significant variances related fixed assets entries.
  • Execute existing process controls and implement new controls as needed.
  • Deliver quality service; achieve performance goals in a transformative and changing environment.
  • Identify operational problems, take ownership to resolve, and escalate issues as required.
  • Strive for operational excellence through ongoing process improvements.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all assigned processes.
  • Foster a climate of open communication within team, FinOps partners and key stakeholders.
  • Support the team by assisting other team members with tasks or issues.
  • Participate in project work as required.
  • Prepare multi-currency schedules for quarterly and annual reporting.

Additional Information

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Highly motivated individual with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Problem solving skills business acumen.
  • Ability to review and reconcile large amount of data.
  • USGAAP Knowledge would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Hyperion, Essbase and Oracle would be an asset.
