Position Summary:
The Financial Reporting, Senior Analyst contributes to PepsiCo Beverages Canada success by acting as an integral part of the Canadian Business Unit Finance and Corporate Tax teams, supporting all aspects of Corporate Tax Accounting and Corporate Tax audits. Success in this role will require results-driven behavior, solid organizational skills, a compliance mindset, intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, technical strength and the ability to be both a team leader and member.
Key responsibilities include:
- Together with the Corporate Tax team, prepare analysis to support PBC’s tax rate plan and forecast
- Prepare documentation to compile period end tax expense, including period end reporting schedules
- Work with the Tax Team and External partners to ensure transfer price documentation to support cross border transactions is accurate. Compile, analyze and ensure the models that support Canadian legal entity profitability can be supported during audits
- Work with the Tax Team and External partners to ensure transfer price documentation to support transactions with Canadian non-arm’s length entities is accurate. Compile, analyze and ensure the models that support Canadian legal entity profitability can be supported during audits
- Complete detailed model to support deferred tax balance
- Together with Tax Team provide all supporting documentation to Canada Revenue Agency queries
- Ensure reconciliation of financial data between various reporting systems including Oracle, SAP, and HFM. (SAP implementation early 2022).
- Ensuring the submission of the Canadian and US corporate tax returns are filed annually as per deadline.
- Ensuring Stats can surveys are provided and submitted within the deadlines.
- Ensuring all Financial reporting documents are approved and are supported by documentation to ensure compliance with internal audit.
- Working with the PBNA PGT (PepsiCo Global Template) team to ensure successful implementation of SAP General Ledger
- Working with the Canadian Finance Leaders to develop new reporting (from SAP) to support period close process
Qualifications/Requirements
- University degree in Business and/or Finance
- CPA designation
- 4+ years of relevant financial reporting experience
- SAP and Oracle experience
- Experience in US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Light understanding of corporate tax expense accounting
- Light understanding of transfer pricing
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are a key requirement
- Experience in consumer products industry an asset
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong technical, problem solving, planning, and analytical skills
- Previous Essbase software experience an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Oracle and SAP experience
