Reporting to the General Accounting Supervisor, the General Accounting Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
Produce high quality accounting reconciliations and transactions
Provide accurate, timely, and relevant accounting information to the business unit
Execute month-end activities for closing the accounting periods within the agreed timeframe
Utilize SAP to assist in gathering and analyzing data as well as reporting results
Prepare, post, and review journal entries
Working with Business Unit Controllers to ensure timely processing of transactions
Recognize and communicate issues and risks with the team
Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting principles, internal control SOX requirements, and CRH Central Service standards
Support in the preparation of financial reporting packages and statements
Support the process improvement initiatives and participate in a collaborative team environment
Experience & Educational Requirements:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field and/or 2+ years of experience within a similar role.
Demonstrated experience including producing reconciliations and preparing journal entries
Working knowledge and use of office productivity tools with a solid focus on Microsoft Excel.
