To fulfill Pattison Agricultures’ vision of GROWING, CONNECTING AND EVOLVING we are looking for a General Manager ideally based out of our Swift Current, SK location. As General Manager of Region 1 (Kyle, Maple Creek, Swift Current and Shaunavon SK) you will be responsible for the leadership, development and achievement of the organization’s business plans, goals and meeting the expectations of all stakeholders – owners, customers, and employees. You will provide a cooperative work environment that will optimize the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees, and the satisfaction of customers.

Responsibilities

This individual’s responsibilities include:

  • Provision of organizational leadership in the areas of physical assets, employees, business processes, and financial resources
  • Coaching and development of Branch Managers in your assigned region, who are responsible to ensure that all departments are working together as a team to reach Pattison Agriculture goals
  • Developing and executing the organization’s business and marketing plans
  • Leading the dealership operations including the identification, development, and implementation of sound business practices and processes
  • Providing guidance to the management team in making business decisions
  • Overseeing the evaluation, allocation, and management of physical assets, employment decisions, and financial resources to fulfill the stakeholders’ expectations
  • Setting the financial direction for the organization utilizing annual budgets and ensures financial stability through audits and internal controls
  • Ensuring the dealership’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with the organization’s values, vision, and mission
  • Leading and managing on-going relationships with key John Deere personnel and other suppliers
  • Managing in cooperation with Human Capital recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position

Requirements

This would be an ideal position if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or other related field; Combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 7+ years of management and inventory control experience in increasingly responsible roles
  • In-depth knowledge of the ag industry combined with a proven understanding of requirements for successful branch operation
  • Demonstrated experience in leading others and successfully coaching within an organization
