Job description: What is the opportunity?
An exciting opportunity within I&TS Finance Performance Management (PM) as a business finance advisor for the Global Investor Services (IS) businesses. The I&TS Performance Management Finance Manager will be the point person for the management and reporting of the Market Services business, specifically Deposits – working closely with the Product business managers, Finance partners across Global Client Operations, Change the Bank, Tech and Operations Finance, Investor Services PM, Finance Transformation team, Regional Finance groups and the Client Experience business team.
What will you do?
- Become a key member of the PM team which acts as a business finance advisor to the Coverage, Product and Client Experience, Transaction Banking and Fund Finance business within Investor Services ensuring accuracy of business P&L and performance metrics
- Primarily supporting the Product Team within the business to bring transparency and credibility to the management reporting including product profitability and ensure this stays anchored in the reconciled financial ledger reporting including forecast and planning
- Assist with business with transparency around costs and enhance profitability analysis
- Assist with the investigation into data sources, flows, quality and timing across a global platform – unique opportunity to understand how the revenue and associated cost transforms from deal to ledger and profitability along with associated the roles and responsibilities
- Critical to supporting the production and distribution of meaningful reporting to the business which will directly impact business decisions and for the global finance team, contributing to the forecast and plan periods
- The role will require the individual to become familiar the financial ledger, management entries and product profitability model and be comfortable presenting data to senior management in a professional manner
- Responsible for helping to provide analytical, actionable and valuable advice on to Investor Services business partners while building relationships with other support groups
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 2+ years’ experience in a finance role
- Accounting or relevant qualification
- Experience analyzing and management of data
- Excellent communication skills – ability to voice opinion
- Enjoy solving puzzles/investigating and organizing to resolution
- Self motivator
Nice-to-have
- Performance Management experience
- Investor Services Products knowledge
- Profitability and pricing analysis experience
- Experience of working in a global team
