Job description: Duration: 3 months (January 2022 – April 2022)

Role Overview: This is a part-time Internship position reporting to the Finance Manager. You will be expected to work 3 days (24 hours) per week (preferably Tuesday – Thursday, however, this is flexible).

About us: Archiact Interactive is a Vancouver-based Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) Studio that develops new and unique ways for people to play games and interact with each other. We partner with IP holders, large publishers, and tech brands to create and deliver immersive, high-end game experiences across multiple platforms with a special focus on building new tools for cutting edge emerging technology.

Our games: Recent titles include DOOM 3: VR Edition (on PSVR), FREEDIVER: Triton Down (on PC, PSVR and Oculus Quest), and MARVEL: Dimension of Heroes (a smartphone-powered Superhero experience built for Lenovo Mirage AR). We are currently in the early stages of several new and highly innovative projects with leading industry partners and are searching for the best and the brightest to help us transform the world of VR and AR game development. About you: You are a positive and proactive person looking to expand your hands-on knowledge of what it takes to help keep a company fiscally responsible. You are comfortable working on tasks with minimal guidance but are not afraid to ask for assistance or clarification when needed. You are comfortable working in close knit and collaborative studio with a wide range of skill sets and personalities. You thrive in teams and would be described by your peers as a teammate who is always willing to go the extra mile in order to raise the bar.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full cycle bookkeeping for parent company and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare various account reconciliations such as bank and credit card reconciliations, fixed asset reconciliations, prepaid reconciliations etc…
  • Assist with AP and AR functions.
  • Assist with various journal entries such as posting payroll entries.
  • Assist with cost analysis.
  • Assist with process and procedures updates.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary publicly funded Canadian institution with a major in Accounting.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada.
  • Experience with handling confidential information and situations with a high degree of integrity.
  • The ability to manage priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
