Your opportunity

Our Toronto office is looking for a Manager (can be located anywhere in Canada) to join our Accounting Advisory Team. We combine our deep technical knowledge with an understanding of clients’ sectors to provide tailored solutions to their ongoing challenges and business changes. The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage Accounting Advisory assignments under IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE
  • Ability to collaborate and think outside the box to provide a solution that fits the client’s needs and business requirements
  • Assist clients with analyzing and applying accounting standards to relevant transactions including drafting reports and presentations
  • Assist clients in the preparation of financial statements, working papers and liaising with the client’s auditors including transition to a different accounting framework
  • Remain current on evolving financial reporting standards and securities and regulatory requirements and developing business issues
  • Work with other BDO service lines to foster cooperative relationships

Your experience and education

  • You have completed your CPA designation.
  • You have at least 2 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
  • You are proficient in IFRS and ASPE standards
  • You have experience and knowledge of US GAAP, although not an outright requirement of the position
  • You have experience in writing reports and delivering presentations, including development of relevant materials
  • You have effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • You demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership skills.
