Job description: Would you like to be part of a leading global real estate professional services and investment management company? Our client, located mid-town Toronto, works with national and international real estate occupiers, developers and investors, and is looking for a Manager, Accounting Policy to join their team. This is an execution-oriented role, with no direct reports.

The Manager, Accounting Policy will be responsible:

· For ensuring high risk/complex accounting transactions are compliant with accounting regulations.

· For ensuring financial information is disclosed appropriately in consolidated financial statements.

· For acting as part of the Global Finance support team advising on accounting guidelines, new pronouncements, and accounting policy strategies, providing guidance and technical support on significant and complex accounting issues like revenue recognition, acquisitions and other issues which impact the business.

· For researching and evaluating significant accounting transactions and implementing relevant US GAAP technical standards.

· For coordinating the implementation of new accounting standards and analyzing the impact of the policy change.

· For ensuring existing standards are being followed appropriately at the consolidated and legal entity level.
