This opportunity…

The Corporate Services Division of Highways and Public Works provides critical central agency services to government and direct services to the department itself. We provide acquisition, risk management, purchasing, asset management, common products supply, printing, mail delivery, insurance, travel and fleet vehicle services to Yukon government departments. We also provide policy, communications, and finance services to the Department of Highways and Public Works. Our division employs analysts, procurement specialists, graphic designers, client service specialists, accountants and many other professionals.

The Manager, Finance is responsible for planning, and coordinating the preparation of financial plans and performs high level financial analysis to support Senior Management and leading the financial operations for our Property Management division. The work is fast-paced and dynamic. Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):

  • Degree in accounting, finance or related field;
  • Considerable experience preparing analysis reports and business plans for senior management review;
  • Considerable experience providing oversight in financial matters on policies and procedures;
  • Experience providing financial advice and recommendations to senior management;
  • Experience supervising staff in the provision of budget cycle activities and all human resources matters.
