Job description: Our client is one of the top five leading banks in Canada. They are looking for a Finance Manager for their Insurance Finance team that assist with a variety of tasks from identifying requirements for internal technical and regulatory reporting, system testing, research, or focused on the business partnering.

About the Opportunity
- Contribute to the development of the business plan and lead activities to operationalize the plan and deliver on project milestones.
- Lead activities performed by the Senior Analyst on the project and ensure they are achieving and delivering on project millstones established for them.
- Lead and manage roadblocks to ensure Finance Project Team delivers in all areas of accountabilities.
- Provide expertise on implementing and testing of new processes, technologies or operating models. Provide effective accounting advice considering business, accounting and reporting implications, systems, process and control impacts, both at the subsidiary and the Bank level.
- Act as key liaison with partners and external vendors and provide subject matter expertise on financial reporting and capital transactions.
- Establish, maintain, strengthen working relationships with appropriate business partners and stakeholders to support delivery of business objectives.
- Provide guidance, leadership, coaching and development to Senior Analyst to ensure professional / personal development objectives are achieved.
- Provide recommendations on skills development required for the Team to the Senior Manager.
- Coordinate the process of preparation of annual financial statements and related notes
About You
- CPA
- 7 to 10 years experience with familiarity in the Insurance industry
- Experience with complex accounting issues will be considered as an asset
- Experience in managing a team of professional accountants
Salary Range
$90,000 – $115,000/year
