The Finance department is a strategic pillar of the organization and has been growing at pace with the organization’s scale. Responsible for financial fidelity and operations, the team works closely with the partners across the organization to achieve results.

The Part-Time Payroll Clerk, will report directly to the Accounting Manager and assist in processing payroll as well as other administrative tasks, as required. Duties:

  • Processing semi-monthly Canadian payroll for 200+ employees
  • Assistance with calculating remittances, benefit administration and reconciliation, issuing ROEs and updating payroll for vacation time, unpaid time etc.
  • Tracking and adjusting inputs for employees and administering payroll
  • Other administrative duties, as required

Job Requirements:

Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy with excellent attention to detail

  • 2-3 years of payroll and benefits administration experience, with ADP preferred
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills,
  • Customer service communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Basic accounting knowledge

Other:

  • Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation preferred but not required
  • Understanding of general payroll and benefits procedures and practices
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, Slack, and email required.
