Job description: Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Dartmouth, Nova Scotia-based company to hire a Payroll Clerk. This is a One Year contract with the potential to go permanent!

Benefits & Perks:

• Compensation: Upto $30/hour.
• Please note, that this will start as a Part-Time role (three times a week) with the potential to increase to 5 days a week.
• Please note, that this will be on-site for training and then moved to hybrid.
• Hours of Operation: 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate entry of contractor time sheets into the time entry system along with staff time entry in designated locations. (approx. 80 staff)
• Liaise between contractors to ensure timely and correct entry of time each week.
• Work closely with Senior Manager to ensure corporate payroll deadlines are met.
• Provide additional time entry support as needed.
• Act as time entry backup for staff time entry.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance is an asset.
• Must have over a year of experience in Payroll and Time Entry Processing Experience.
• Must be proficient in MS Office including EXCEL (Pivot Tables, lookups, and Formulas).
• Experience with JD Edwards is an asset.
