Job description: Adecco is currently recruiting Junior Procurement Officer. This is a 1-year contract with strong possibility of extension. This role is with our Crow Corporation Client located in Ottawa. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for one.

The Junior Procurement Officer will have the following responsibilities: * The Procurement Administrative Support provides review, oversight and maintenance of transportation contracts in order to maintain compliance and timely payment to contractors.

• Responsible for providing administrative support to the Transportation Contracting team with the establishment of new and/or amended contracts.
• Will be involved with Market research, contract spend analysis, electronic file preparation, process yearly rate increase (SAP), preparation of contract amendments

The Junior Procurement Officer must meet the following mandatory requirements: * Post-Secondary Student nearing completion of College or University Degree in commerce, finance or purchasing; including a purchasing/supply chain curriculum.

• Minimum1-2 years experience in similar role.
• Knowledge of purchasing principles and practices.
• French / English bilingual is preferable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; including Excel and Word.
• Post-Secondary education or experience with SAP is an asset.
• Ability to effectively manage/prioritise a part-time workload while not compromising their post-secondary commitments.
