Job title: Sr. Finance Assistant

Job description: Robert Half is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a fast growing organization located in the Ottawa-West region. This is a full time/permanent position on site.
Responsibilities:

-Process and oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

-Keep up to date on statutory payroll changes

-Managing and processing payroll

-T4 and ROE preparation as required

-Verify invoice validity

-Enter bills; make payments to suppliers and investors

-Follow up with vendors if any discrepancies

-Prepare deposits; and prepare cheques for signature

-Bank and Credit Card reconciliation

-Prepare monthly financial statements and update budget spreadsheets

-Prepare and monitor product profitability reports

-Input daily sales; Assist and enter inventory entries and adjustments

-Assist the management team; and implement new accounting procedures if required

-Assist with HR functions

-Month end and year end closing.

Qualifications:

-3+years experience in a similar role

-Post-secondary education is preferred

-Experience with an Accounting ERP

-Proficient in MS Office Excel

-Self-starter, takes initiative and possess leadership skills

-Willing and able to work independently

-Patient, confident and a pleasant personality
