The home office for this role will be based out of our Leamington, or Essex Ontario office.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in planning, execution and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review and Compilation (T1, T2, T3, T5) engagements, both independently and as part of a team
  • Analyze financial information, accounting processess and operation procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries
  • Assess risk, controls, operational performance and adherence to GAAP
  • Prepare personal, corporate, non-profit organization information and charitable tax returns
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships
  • Preparation and review of financial statements and related note disclosure

A successful candidate will have:

  • Successful completion of Common Final Evaluation (CFE), at a minimum holding a status of CPA-in-waiting
  • Legally able to work in Canada – this is not a sponsored position
  • Project management and strong organizational skills
  • Experience with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, Sage Accounting and Qucikbooks (QBO) is an asset
  • Ability to detect and solve problems
  • Able to communicate well with clients both verbally and in writing
  • Some farming knowledge an asset
