We are currently looking for Articling Student, Staff Accountant.
Position Summary:
As an articling student, you will join a general practice team and will participate in all aspects of client service. At Baker Tilly Catalyst LLP you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in preparing client accounting records, financial statements, corporate and personal income tax returns
- Draft and review financial statements
- Prepare T1s, T4s, T5s, GST and other compliance returns
- Prepare journal entries, individual and corporate tax returns
- Conduct research on professional and technical matters
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Agriculture experience/knowledge considered an asset
- 1 year prior tax season experience (minimum)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with commitment to client service and teamwork
- Strong desire and dedication to work, learn, and thrive in a fast passed, innovative, and dynamic environment
- Completed a business degree and be entering the CPA designation program
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency with technology including MS Word and Excel
