WGL Accounting and Finance Intern

Are you looking for an exciting paid summer internship experience? With the passion of our CFO and Chief Accounting Officer, we are launching a new internship program to support our anticipated growth. Our summer program combines challenging work experience and the opportunity to work closely with our team members!

You are:

A rising senior/junior, or ambitious rising sophomore

Finance, accounting, math, economics, a business administration major or have completed at least two courses within these disciplines

Interested in learning more about the energy industry and gaining real-life experience

You will:

Be assigned to one of our departments such as Accounting, Risk Management, Financial Systems, Treasury, or Internal Audit

Receive hands-on experience with work that is valued by our leadership

Have exposure to senior management

Participate in networking events to help build professional relationships throughout the Company

Give a formal presentation about your experience at WGL to our senior financial leadership team

Have the opportunity to be offered a full-time position or 2nd internship for summer 2023

You have:

The ability to work from June 6 – August 12 (we are closed June 20 & July 4)

Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The ability to work onsite in Springfield, VA, The DC Wharf, or Tyson’s Corner – provided we are back in the office!

Our 2022 payrate is $26 per hour.
