Overview:

Our client is seeking a Workday Developer, HCM/Finance Sustainment on a 3-year Term Employment. Under general leadership of the Development Manager, the Workday Developer develops and maintains the security configuration, integrations, and reports, and supports the production and non-production environments. As a member of a project team, the incumbent implements and supports systems in accordance with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, procedures, guidelines, and industry best practices. Primarily involved with technical teams, staff, faculty, and student communities, the Workday Developer also provides technical and operational support to these stakeholders. May assign tasks and supervise on project phases over development staff in junior positions.

What you will be doing:

Workday Operations and Sustainment

Provides day-to-day support on Workday security, integrations, reports, and troubleshooting.

Maintains reliability, availability, and continuity of integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions.

Analyzes and proposes modifications to system security to ensure data integrity and system stability.

Maintains advanced Workday reports.

Performs Workday administrative functions including adding/removing users, role assignments, security maintenance, integration configuration, tenant configuration, data loads, and upgrades.

Resolves Workday support tickets and escalations.

Supports bi-annual Workday releases, including impact analysis of new functionality, and testing to ensure expected system operations for integrations, security, and reports.

Maintains up-to-date documentation reflecting the state of security configuration, integrations, and reports.

Workday Implementation Projects

Partners with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions for new Workday implementation and enhancement projects.

Reviews project and system requirements for security, integration and reporting needs through independent and group reviews.

Translates business requirements to functional and technical requirements, documents technical solutions, and creates knowledge base articles.

Designs and implements

Integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions.

System security to ensure data integrity and system stability.

Advanced Workday reports.

Data extracts.

Applies reliable automation solutions to minimize the maintenance, support, and operational efforts.

What you must have:

Minimum six (6) years of recent related application development experience with minimum of 3 Minimum four (4) years of recent related development experience with two (2) years of proven experience with Workday HCM, Finance or Student.

Experience with Workday technologies – Web Service Application Program Interface (APIs), Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Report Writer, Cloud Connect, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge with developing Workday integrations.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge with configuring, testing, and supporting Workday security, including domain security, business process security, role-based security and user-based security.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge with advanced Workday report writing, including matrix reports, composite reports and BIRT reports.

Experience with enterprise integration architectures, patterns, SOAP, REST, JSON, XML and XSLT.

Experience implementing and supporting Banner HR/Payroll, Finance or Student an asset.

Higher-education or public sector experience desirable.

Workday Pro accreditations or Workday certifications desirable.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
