Job Description
- Register patients and provide all corresponding functions such as preparing admission forms, armbands, etc.
- Update health insurance information for finance use
- Correct and update patient records in the Patient Care System as required
- Answer any general inquiries regarding the admission process
- Assist with health record functions
- Other duties as assigned
*Must be able to work weekends.

Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma required
- Office Program Certificate from Community College preferred
- One to two years of administrative assistant experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience with EPIC or a similar electronic patient record preferred
- Prior experience in a COVID Assessment Centre, preferred
- Experience working with diverse population groups
- Strong knowledge of MS Office – including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well, both as part of a team & individually, with little supervision.
- Proven attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Demonstrated record of good performance and acceptable attendance will be considered as part of the selection criteria
- Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital
- This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all
