Job title: Cash Posting Associate (Accounts Receivable)

Job description: Fountain Tire is looking for a Cashing Posting Associate (Accounts Receivable) to join our Credit team in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office.

***This is a temporary part-time position (20-30 hours per week) until January 31, 2023***

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform Cash application accurately, applying cheques and credit cards to external customers’ accounts while ensuring same day application.
• Code payments with customers account number to ensure proper application.
• Maintain record of deposits, transaction listings and cheques received.
• Create and document adjusting entries (charge backs/credit/debit memos) to customer accounts as required and advise impacted parties.
• Facilitate Electronic Funds Transfer payments by completing all documentation.
• Prepare daily deposits.
• Assist other team members as need dictates.

Desired attributes:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of cash application and understanding of accounts receivables accounting practices.
• Proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) software.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers; includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as a “do it right the first time” approach.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in order to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team environment as well as individually.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma required
• Secondary school courses in Accounting, Business and/or Administration an asset
• 2 years related experience preferred – a combination of education and experience may be considered
• Must be willing to undergo a credit and criminal background check
